Counselling Process:

The counselling process consists of many stages that are necessary for candidates to complete and are mentioned below:-.

Step 1: Online Registration : Candidates need to visit the official counselling website of KEA https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/ and sign in using their KCET application number and password. After logging in – they should complete the registration formalities and check and confirm all the personal and academic information and make the required counselling fee payment to proceed with the process of admission.

Step 2: Verification of Document : The candidates must report to the document verification centre with all the original certificates and a set of photocopies. After the verification is completed successfully – the candidates will get a verification slip which should be kept carefully as it may be required during the upcoming stages of KCET counselling and allotment of seats.

Step 3: Entry Options : Choose the courses and colleges of your choice- then arrange your options according to your preferences.

Step 4: Mock Allocation: To provide applicants an idea of the seats they are likely to obtain based on their present preferences and rank – KEA will publish a mock allotment outcome before the final seat assignment. Before the final seat allocation procedure starts – candidates may change / add / rearrange their choices and submit the revised preferences within the time allotted.

Step 5: Allocation of Seats :- The KEA publishes the final seat allotment results based on the ranks and preferences of candidates and availability of seats. Candidates can log in to the portal of counselling to check their status of allotment and download the official allotment order.

Step 6: Reporting and Payment of Fees: Candidates who are offered a seat must pay the required admission fee by the deadline specified by KEA in order to confirm their acceptance of the seat. Candidates must report to the allotted college in the given time frame after receiving the admission order and fulfil all admission requirements including document submission and institution-specific requirements

Candidates should keep certain documents ready before counselling begins which includes:- KCET 2026 Application Form – Admit Card – Rank Card with marks cards of classes 10th & 12th and study certificate.
